Everything I've tried from this place has been great and in my opinion, their burritos are hands down the best in the area. I highly recommend them. Not only do they use high quality ingredients, but the portions and prices are reasonable. Most importantly (to me), the seasoning is consistent. I usually order ahead and pick up my order. Every time I've been there, they're pretty busy which means they're doing things right.
We did a catering order this past weekend and it was great! From the initial contact to the pick up date the commutation was easy and efficient. We ordered 4 trays of meat: chicken, asada, Al pastor and carnitas, which came with all the sides and garnishes and even drinks as well! Our guests could not stop complimenting the food and they are still letting us know how great it was. We cannot recommend El Trompudo more! Thank you for making our event perfect!
4.5 stars, best tacos in the area imo! Got the al pastor, cabeza, and lengua. Very flavorful and kind service. Just had to wait 25-30 minutes on a Wednesday night which was longer than expected. Free chips and salsa which is nice but it is limited to 2 salsas per order. The chips are also circular instead of your typical tortilla chips. Nice and toasty! Will def return next time we're in the area.
The quesabirria was really good! The meat is very tender but the tortilla is a little stale. A lot of flavor! Must get this. (9/10) The carne asada burrito was great! Make sure to get everything. The sour cream in it makes all the flavors for together. (9/10) The al pastor taco meat was tender. Got a little kick/ spice to it. Nothing wrong with it. (8/10) The consome was really good, not too salty. Pairs well with everything (the burrito and quesabirria) They provided salsa; where you can tell that it was fresh. Staff was friendly, pleasant experience, the interior is well decorated, has indoor seating, would come again!
Best tacos in El Sobrante! Definitely a must if you're in the area! The tacos de lengua and tacos de asada are the best!
